Support

I was impressed when I visited MAF headquarters with the amount of self hosting you already do. Matrix is actually fairly easy to self host, although many quality commercial services are also available. My experience is with unix and linux, but it is supposed to be just as easy on Windows as the current reference server implementation is a python3 application called “Synapse” using a postgresql database. An up and coming “next gen” server implementation is “Dendrite”, written in golang, which is also Windows friendly.

Matrix servers are called “homeservers”.

I am happy to volunteer to consult with anyone assigned to the project, including visiting headquarters. Other companies offer commercial consulting for self-hosting and paid commercial hosting. I am currently available to volunteer full or part time if needed. But there is no shortage of people able to support and maintain a homeserver.

Try it out!

This homeserver has public registration disabled. If I have emailed you a login, you can use it with the included Element web client.

Or use any homeserver with public registration:

You can talk (text or voice) with me via Matrix using my Matrix id.
